The custom manufacturing group at LJUNGSTRÖM has a strong history of solving problems for clients throughout the world, with a global experience of providing different products and solutions for customers looking to source fabricated steel that weighs up to 200,000 lb. Where other steel fabricators often avoid 50,000 lb weldments, we se them as an opportunity to demonstrate our skills.

Manufacturing solutions has been a component of our business for decades, and we rise to the challenge of new projects. In the 1960’s, we supplied an exhaust ductwork system for the US Nuclear Rocket Engine for Rocket Vehicle Application (NERVA) program, and at the time the ETS-1 project fabrication was one of the most complicated weldments produced with over 6.5 miles of welded seams.

In more recent years, we have experience ranging from parts on mass transit trains, components for bridge and highway use, Aluminium manufacturing facilities, and machinery used for recycling scrap metal, to name a few.
