Cement Production

Cement is the main ingredient in concrete, the second most consumed material in the world after water. The production of clinker in rotary kilns and the cement end product result in flue gas that can benefit from the heat recovery and emissions reduction systems utilizing Ljungström air preheaters and gas-gas heaters.

Ljungström air preheaters have been used to cool clinker gas flow prior to downstream baghouses to remove the dust, and Ljungström gas-gas heater products are a critical part of the air quality control systems that can be used to remove SOx and NOx from the flue gas.
